Active in musical theatre in Charlotte, North Carolina since she was 9 years old, Leighton has performed at many local venues including Children's Theatre of Charlotte, Theatre Charlotte, Matthews Playhouse, and The Ballantyne Arts Center.  

Leighton was selected to travel to The University of Cincinnati in June of 2024 and spend 2 weeks training with renowned CCM faculty for their annual Musical Theatre Summer Intensive. She is currently studying as a member of the Acting Company in Children's Theatre of Charlotte's prestigious Conservatory Program, after recently completing her third year in the Musical Theatre Company. Leighton trained vocally year round with American soprano & Carolina Opera Resident Mahari Freeman from 2018 - 2022. Presently she continues her vocal journey under the guidance of the talented Danielle Burke. 

Leighton is a dedicated homeschool student with the flexibility to balance her artistic endeavors with her commitment to both ballet & tap at Open Door Studios, as well as other dance styles. 

In addition to her theatrical pursuits, Leighton finds joy and fulfillment beyond the spotlight in her passions for baking, reading, and immersing herself in the world of new music and Broadway trivia. She dreams of earning a BFA in Musical Theatre and making a career out of her passion for performance.
